The Sewanee Review, in its continuously published literary quarterly form, has witnessed the development of American literature. This magazine gathers the works of numerous literary giants, including classic works by T.S. Eliot, William Faulkner, Eudora Welty, and others, making it a holy land for literary enthusiasts.

It is not only a stage for literary masters, but also a cradle for the growth of emerging writers. The magazine has long been committed to discovering and cultivating new literary stars, and the debut excerpts of writers such as Cormac McCarthy and Flannery O'Connor make their debut here, laying a solid foundation for their literary careers. In addition, the early works of poets such as Robert Penn Warren and Sylvia Plath were also published here, demonstrating their unique literary talents.
